I appreciate the guest post, Marian Combs
My sister is a graduate student studying to be a physician’s assistant. She always knew that she wanted to do something in the medical field, and being a PA is something that she knew she would have fairly normal hours doing, and also would make a great salary. Plus, as a PA, you only have to go to school for three years. Even though school is only three years, it’s still hard for her to fund going to college and also maintaining a lifestyle that she’s used to. Of course, she’s had to make sacrifices. She says that the last thing she wants to do is live like some of her fellow graduate students, pretending that she’s already making a salary, putting her further in to debt. The less money you have to borrow, the better. However, for Christmas my family and I splurged and got her a subscription to satellite TV through direct tv terre haute. She always used to love having it before school, and says she likes it even more now!
